A starting point for performers at every stage — our own guides plus the national platforms worth knowing about.

From the guide

Original guides written for performers from any stage, anywhere.

Beyond Savannah

National platforms and tools worth having in your toolkit — these are the ones we've actually used.

Backstage

One of the most widely used platforms for finding auditions — film, TV, theater, commercial, and more. Worth having a profile even if you're just getting started. Casting directors post here regularly and it's one of the first places to check for new opportunities.

Actors Access

The submission platform used by many casting directors to receive headshots and résumés digitally. Getting your profile set up here is an essential early step — it's how you get in front of casting directors who aren't actively running open calls.

Casting Networks

Another widely used submission platform similar to Actors Access. Some casting directors use one, some use the other, some use both — worth having a profile on each so you don't miss anything.

IMDb

The Internet Movie Database — where your credits live publicly. Once you start booking work, claiming your IMDb page and keeping it updated is important. Casting directors look you up here. Free to claim, IMDb Pro is a paid upgrade worth considering once you're booking regularly.

YouTube

An underrated resource for performers. Search for self-tape tutorials, cold read tips, audition advice, and industry Q&As. Coaches and casting directors post genuinely useful free content here — a good starting point before investing in paid coaching.
