— WHO BUILT THIS

I built this so you don’t have to figure it out alone.

"I'm a connector by nature and a firm believer that access to opportunity shouldn't depend on who you already know."

Hi. I’m Lynde (pronounced Lynd-ee). I moved to Savannah in 2021 — Covid era, fresh start, knew absolutely no one. We had uprooted our entire lives and my daughter had a dream.

What followed was a lot of Googling. A lot of phone calls. A lot of trying things, exploring dead ends, and slowly figuring out a system that can feel a lot more complicated than it actually is.

In my day job I work in higher education helping students and employers find each other, because I believe access to opportunity shouldn't depend on who you already know. I'm a connector at heart. And when I started looking at the performing arts world here in Savannah, I saw the same gatekeeping I'd spent my career trying to break down in other industries.

The thing is, it doesn't have to be that hard. Most people in this community are genuinely eager to help the next generation of creatives. They just need to find each other.

I kept getting asked for recommendations. Coaches, studios, photographers, auditions, SCAD student films. And I realized that if the people in my circle are asking, there must be hundreds of families out there Googling alone who don't have anyone to call.

So I built this. No agenda. No paid listings. Just a resource for performers and the parents of performers to make Savannah a little easier to navigate.

Meet Tenley

This guide exists in large part because of her. Tenley is a Savannah-based actress, singer, and dancer who has been performing since she was six years old. She has trained extensively in acting, voice, and dance, earned agency representation, appeared in SCAD student films, performed in productions across the Savannah area, and won Best Young Actress at the New Jersey Film Festival.

She is the reason I started Googling. The reason I made the calls. The reason I built this.

Everything I've learned navigating this industry I learned alongside her, and everything on this site exists so the next family doesn't have to start from scratch the way we did.
